The Plasterers Arms is a traditional unspoilt local pub in the historic residential quarter of the village.  The pub, which is around 200 years old, is run by licensees Stan and Pam, and has a single bar serving a lounge, snug and beer garden.

The many etchings of local Hoylake landmarks covering the ceiling of the lounge are a particular feature.  This is a great pub for real ale fans, and regularly appears in The Camra Good Beer Guide. Look out for local Wirral and Liverpool cask beers.  Traditional, home-cooked food is served and live music acts are popular.

The best when they get it right

This pub has the chance of being once again the best pub in Hoylake. It just needs to get the lager back to the level it was when Bob or J.B. had the place. The Sunday roast is great and the real ale is very good.

Hidden Gem

This little pub is one of Hoylakes hidden gems. Tucked away behing the high street, the Plasterers serves real ales which you can drink whilst listening to the latest tale of the sea... many of the lifeboat crew frequent the pub.

Proper pub

You don't get many pubs like these any more... a proper 'locals' community pub. Didn't try the food. Could be much busier if people knew about it. Wasn't sure if that's what is wanted though...
