This has to be the best Meditereanean Reasturant in the area.
I have taken my family to eat lunch, 'early doors' and also dinner. I have also entertained clients from French Riviera, and other such locations, who have commented in a very positive manner about the whole experience

I have heard good things about Monte Carlo, so had to check it out. The recommendations were right. I took mum and dad with the kids for a birthday celebration and it was just the right balance. I was concerned looking at the place from outside that it was a bit of a goldfish bowl but, you know what, when you're in there, its' really not an issue. It might bring more people in however if that was dealt with by half height window decals or calico blinds. The wine list was spot on, simple, quality, reasonably priced. The menu was very good although I think Pizza and /or Calzone would be a very welcome and popular addition. So to the food... good, consistent, I'd like to see a little more rustic Italian in there, and perhaps a little more passion and risk taking, which Hoylake IS ready for, overall highly recommended!
