Hoylake Police

Neighbourhood Inspector: Paul Vickers

I am Paul Vickers, the dedicated Neighbourhood Inspector for the Hoylake Neighbourhood.

The Hoylake Neighbourhood Policing team is based at Hoylake Police Station, which is open to the public between 9.00 a.m and 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday. My team covers the areas of Meols, Hoylake, West Kirby, Newton Caldy and Thurstaston.

The Neighbourhood team consists of one Sergeant, four constables and nine Police Community Support & Traffic officers who all work on a shift basis.

Two of the police constables are dedicated beat officers with responsibility for the West Kirby/Thurstaston and Hoylake/Meols wards respectively.

What we do

We are committed to reducing anti-social behaviour and crime-related matters in the Neighbourhood by adopting a problem-solving approach. If you have an issue that adversely affects your quality of life, please contact us either by telephone/email or by calling into the Station Enquiry Office or by visiting one of our surgeries or one of our meetings – the details for all of these are contained on the website, and all are mentioned in our monthly newsletter.

We work with other police agencies, statutory bodies, the community and other partners to achieve our goals – if we are not in a position to help, then we may be able to assist you in getting advice from an agency that can. The Hoylake Neighbourhood has one of the lowest crime rates across the entire Merseyside police area and we will endeavour to maintain this.

How you can help

We have received much support and information from the public who live and work in the Neighbourhood and it is as a result of this cooperation that we have identified, targeted and prosecuted individuals who commit crime.

Regular meetings and surgeries are held throughout the Neighbourhood to allow the community to inform us of their wants and expectations. If you have an issue that concerns you, then please tell us about it. Additionally, if you have any information on those committing crime or anti-social behaviour, then please contact us at Hoylake Police Station or call Crimestoppers (anonymously if you wish) on 0800 555 111

I would like to encourage all members of the community to involve themselves in ensuring that the Neighbourhood continues to be a safe and pleasant district.
