Wanted a cheap pair of specs for use in the car. Didn't want to pay much as they'll be chucked in the glove box. The chap who seved me said that had a box of 'clearance' frames I could choose from with glasses costing less than 17 quid! I picked a pair costing £19 and was more than happy. Great prices and friendly service. I'll be Bach for my main glasses when I need them after I get my new prescription. Don't forget to ask for the 'bargain box' if you just want a cheapo pair like I did!

Not exactly a 'local', I drove to Spex4less in Hoylake from Southport, some distance away. I had seen their prices and amazing online reviews, but I'm fussy when choosing glasses! You can beat actually trying them on!

I had called them earlier in the week to make sure they had the (Prada) glasses available for me to try on, along with three others. Once I arrived there, the staff could not have been more attentive and knowledgeable.

Two cups of tea later, I had bought two pairs of glasses - and had saved a couple of hundred pounds in the process.

Only downside was it could have been trick to fine if I hadn't used my sat nav - Spex4less is located at the back of Hoylake, over the railway lines.

All in all, I was completely satisfied. Great buying experience, with lovely attentive staff. Have already recommended them to f&f and let a review online elsewhere!

Located over the railway lines in Carr Lane, Holake, I gave Spex4less a try after reading very favourable feedback about them on the Internet. I must ave saved well over a hundred pounds compared to what I may have paid on the 'high street'. Great service from very knowledgable staff helped the whole process along.
