Lino was born near Genoa in Italy. He first moved to the UK while studying for a scholarship and it was here that he met his wife, Barbara. Subsequently, he worked in many prestigious restaurants throughout the North West. He was soon appointed Manager of The Cottage Loaf in Thurstaston, once one of Wirral’s finest restaurants, and he and Barbara raised their family here until 1983.
In 1983, Lino and Barbara decided to embark on their own venture in the form of Lino’s restaurant, accompanied by their son Enrico who has since helped to develop the business and the menus, and has now taken over the reins.
